Special Comedy Presentation GRIMES & McKEE Saturday Evening, May 10, Closing Reception, Newcomb Hall Ballroom 6:15 – 7:45 ![]() Grimes & McKee The Irish News calls them “original, life-affirming and very, very funny.” The Irish Times describes them as “bordering on comic genius.” With sketches developed for Re-Imagining Ireland, Conor Grimes and Alan McKee, regarded by many as Ireland’s top comedy duo, will present a comic interlude during the final conference reception. The actors have been touring their smash hit comedy, The History of the Troubles (accordin' to my Da), which they co-wrote with playwright Martin Lynch. Their humor concentrates on some of the lesser-known characters to be found in what they call “the most photographed, written about and genuinely strange six counties on the face of the planet.” Meet the Ulster Scots Vicar and the Republican Priest, the Sensitive Farmers, and many more. Among their many hit shows are such titles "The Dogs on the Street," “Plucked and Stuffed – A Christmas Special,” and “Bomb Scare – Halloween in Belfast.” Return to Schedule and Program
